We are thrilled to feature this enchanting villa. A cosy and beautiful Patrician House, oasis of serenity and relaxation built in stone at the end of 17th century. Originally captain's residence, the house is full of historical features.
The house is located in Lovran, one of the oldest coastal settlements on the eastern shore of Istrian peninsula, 12 km away from Opatija. By the early Middle Ages it was an important urban and shipbuilding center of northern Adriatic.
By the mid 19th century, the area gains prominence as it becomes a fashionable resort of Austro-Hungarian nobility, and the long tradition of tourism is strongly felt here.
The region is rich with cultural and historical heritage. A parish church with medieval frescoes and Glagolitic inscriptions, and the 14th century tower of St George's Square within the old urban core, as well as rural ambiances and architectural edifices - namely turn-of-the-century villas with surrounding parks, are points of interest.
For the lovers of long walks along the sea, the 'Lungo Mare' - a romantic sea-front promenade stretches from Lovran to Opatija, which you will reach in a couple of hours of relaxing walk.
For the amateurs of hiking, nothing will beat a more physically demanding hike to Ucka mountain, which rises up to 1400m above Lovran.
The house includes two apartments on the 1st floor that are available for renting. It also has a large communal space on the ground floor with fireplace and a beautiful courtyard, which can be made available under a separate arrangement.
Very cosy and comfortable 1 and 2 bedroom apartment are fully air-conditioned; 1 bedroom apartment can accommodate up to three persons and 2 bedroom apartment up to 5. Both apartments offer all modern amenities, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower, hair-dryer, washing machine, safe box as well as a free Internet access.
There is a free parking in front of the house for your convenience.
This Patrician House very much sums up all the wonders of Croatia that we are trying to impart; history, character and beauty. They are all her in this property.
