Scenic Waterways Adventure

This multi activity adventure holiday will take you along the Mreznica River, through The Plitvice Lakes National Park and to Krk Island on the Adriatic coast.
You will explore this unique area on foot, by bike, on a stand-up paddle board, from a kayak and raft. Our guides will seize every opportunity to steer you away from the busy everyday life, ensuring a truly memorable experience which you will cherish for many years to come. The Mreznica is considered one of Croatia's cleanest rivers, with plenty of great spots for swimming, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and rafting. The river is 64 km long, and is special for its 93 waterfalls and pools of warm water between them, perfect for refreshment away from beach crowds.
Clear green water, unspoiled woods and magical landscapes make it one of Croatia's most desirable continental retreats.The Island of Krk is located in the northern part of Croatia, in the Kvarner Bay. It offers variety of attractions and experiences, whether you like the culture, the nature or the upbeat tourist area.

Day 1 – 3
Fly to Pula Airport and transfer to the charming and sophisticated Opatija Town. Stay at modern 4 Hotel Royal in Opatija.

Day 3
Transfer from Opatija to Zvecaj Village and checking-in at a small family run 3-star hotel. Welcome dinner and a brief orientation meeting of the upcoming active week with the guide(s) and travelling companions.

Day 4
Walking on some of the numerous trails, crossing over wooden bridges and even taking a boat ride in one of Croatia's most stunning national parks - Plitvice Lakes. The exceptional nature of the lakes has been attracting many tourists throughout the years and UNESCO has declared Plitvice Lakes as a World Natural Heritage site.

Day 5
Kayaking on the clear, warm and emerald waters of Mreznica River, home to many endangered and protected plant and animal species. At some point the kayaks will be replaced by the paddle boards, so that you can enjoy the environment from different perspective.

Day 6
Today we cycle through charming villages around Zvecaj, passing small family farms and along country roads looking over the valleys and fields. You will be able to go for a swim in the river and enjoy a picnic lunch on the bank.

Day 7
Enjoy a free day or choose one of the iconic trips you'll love (payable locally), for example a day on the Adriatic Sea or hiking in one of the national parks.

Day 8
Drive towards the Adriatic coastline. Sea kayaking and swimming stops on Krk Island – one of the biggest islands in the Adriatic, with visit to Krk Town. After an amazing day spent on this ‘Golden Island’ as many refer to it as, we will return to Zvecaj for dinner.

Day 9
Kayaking through a deep and narrow gorge of Mreznica River, passing by the cliffs of carved white rocks, lush vegetation and cascading waterfalls. We continue our journey to the second highest waterfall on the river, a magical place ideal for swimming and a picnic.

Day 10
Depart from Zvecaj Village to 4-star city hotel in Zagreb. Explore the beauty of Croatian capital, spend time in the old Upper Town, visit the town's most popular Dolac farmers market, drift along Spica - town's celebrated coffee strip...

Day 11
Early morning transfer to Zagreb Airport for your flight back home.
