Budva is a picturesque, medieval town, one of the oldest settlements in the Adriatic dating back some 2000 years. Dubbed the new Adriatic hotspot, Budva is already being nicknamed the Balkan's St Tropez. And it's easy to see why with its cobbled streets, smart boutiques, shops, cafes, galleries and glittering seafront. Celebrities like the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt holidayed here. Although Budva is one of the main nightlife centres on the Montenegrin Riviera with the lively bars and the open-air discos dotted along the waterfront, it is just as easy to have a quiet and serene night.
