Hi Sharon, We had a wonderful relaxing holiday in beautiful Croatia. We flew to Pula and arrived in our first destination Lovran late at night where we were greeted by the warm and welcoming lady who owned the apartment we were staying in. After offering us to share a drink with her she very kindly took us on a short tour of the small historical town of Lovran with its narrow streets and beautiful buildings. There was a lovely atmosphere and in the restaurants locals made a great effort to converse with us. Our accommodation was full of old world charm and everything was to a very high standard and we were made feel most welcome. We spent just one day there exploring the lovely coast. I think it is a really relaxing sedate place appealing to perhaps a more middle aged group as opposed to teenagers. We then moved on to the the area of Porec which most certainly did not disappoint! We stayed in the beautiful Villamar Diamonte Hotel which was fabulous. Set in a lush woodland area the hotel had everything you could wish for and the sheer array of delicious food was just amazing. There were both indoor and outdoor pools and the because of the coastal setting there was ample interesting parts to frequent. There were lots of water sports available and this was a lively place for young and old. The weather was lovely while we were there and the bustling town of Porec was only a 15 minute walk away with its markets and lovely restaurants. It is a beautiful picturesque place with spectacular scenery and a huge Italian influence in its arquitecture and its food. It offered everything you could possibly wish for and I have no hesitation in saying that we had a lovely relaxing enjoyable holiday! We found the Croatian people to be very welcoming friendly and hospitable and the Adriatic Coast proved to be a delight! Kind regards,
Dear Maja, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for organising the holiday for us. Everything went to plan and all the transfers were there on time and were all so helpful. All our guides were lovely people and it couldn't have gone any smoother. We had a super time in Croatia (apart from the rain for the first week) it is a beautiful country and we are now both Croatian Wine experts. Once again thank you so much for such a professional and organised trip and I will recommend your firm to anybody I know who is planning on going to Croatia.
Hi Maja, We had a great holiday. Korcula was great. Very hot. Lapad was really lovely. Bit cooler than Korcula which was nice. Hotel Uvala was fabulous. Great food, lovely staff. Got a room on third floor with balcony and sea-view which was great. Would definitely stay there again. Uvala was so nice and convenient to all the facilities of Lapad. And the bus stops for Dubrovnik were outside the front door which was great. Anyway it was a great holiday, Maja and we just wanted to say thanks.
Dear Sharon I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful week we had in Montenegro. It was hard work and quite exhausting but everyone involved in Croatia Tours, Budva Travel, the tourist board and the drivers were so professional, helpful and so good natured that it made my job a great deal easier. Looking back at what we filmed Montenegro looks simply stunning and I have no doubt that when it goes out on TV many more Irish holiday makers will travel there next summer. Regards Waddell Media
Sharon Mljet was just beautiful very quiet at night no night life as such, hotel was very basic but was ok for price we paid a little more expensive than mainland croatia due to fact it was an island and everything was brought in by boat the journey over was a bit of a tour, a two hour car trip and then an hour by boat but we enjoyed not for the faint hearted. Not sure about families, we spent most days in national park which was just beautiful you could swim in lake, lovely walks and take some trips by boat again not sure if enough of activities for younger people. Lovely swimming place beside hotel with plenty of sun beds and the water was so clear and blue, would go back in the morning:!!! if you like quiet, relaxing and plenty of nature just lovely, keep me in mind if there are any cheap deals in September , October Thanks again for your help in finding Mljet
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN We have just returned from a trip to Croatia and Medjgore organized by Noeleen. It was a pleasure to deal with her as well as the ladies in Croatia, namely Daniella and Tamara. Tamara is really organized and nothing is too much trouble for her. We feel that in this time of rush ,rush ,rush, they should be singled out for thanks and praise. As it their help that makes the trip worthwhile and pleasant. Thanks once again
Morning Sharon, Just a quick e-mail as you requested just to Thank the Croatia Tours Team for what was an excellent holiday in both Croatia and Montenegro. Both hotels were first class, the transfers were as per the time advertised and the reps were informative. I would like to note that the rep in Budva was especially helpful. Our only complaint is that we had to come back! Thanks Again. I am sure we will be travelling with Croatia Tours again.
Sharon I got a magnificent balcony sea-view room at the Argentina (Villa Orsula) Room 911 - I can strongly recommend it. Room 913 has similar view, tho I didn't see inside that room. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel. It really is worth a lot to be so close to the Old Town. TripAdvisor makes a big deal about the uphill walk on the way BACK from town, but if that's all they can crib about it says a lot !! - We were pushing a buggy and we happily did it every day - even in 30+ degrees.!! Rastaurant Caravelle worked out well for breakfast and dinner, nice and informal, very good with our infant.. The waiter was a joy!!! I also went to see the Excelsior next door. Looks good, spoke to a few guests and they liked it. No outdoor pool is the obvious drawback of course, but again its got Location, Location, Location! I met Tamara - she was very helpful and pleasant. Made some good recommendations for eating in the Old Town (Marco Polo)
